EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW
This is a 14 day journey through the gorgeous landscape of central Georgia. Often overlooked, Georgia has come a long way from its colorful past. The intersection between Europe and Asia, it’s famous for its diverse architecture, amazing cuisine and ancient traditions of wine making. Georgia offers stunning landscapes from the Caucasus Mountains to the black sand beaches of the Black Sea. Truly an emerging hidden gem in Europe.
The trip starts and ends in the capital city of Tbilisi. We will wind our way through the central valleys and mountains visiting wineries, exploring the valleys, seeing the historical sites and tasting the incredible food along the way. Our expert local guides will give us a true window into Georgia’s history and culture.

Unless you are purchasing the airline insurance it is a good idea to wait until departure is confirmed to buy plane tickets. Please arrive anytime on Day 1 into Tblisi International Airport (TBS). We will have an airport transfer waiting for you upon your arrival.

Please arrive any time today into the Tbilisi airport. Your airport transfer will be waiting for you upon arrival to bring you to the hotel. After a short debriefing, there will be a welcome dinner out together at a local restaurant. (D)
D A Y T W O | TOUR OF TBILISI & SPA DAY
After breakfast we will stretch our legs from a long day of travel and take a walking tour of the beautiful center of Tbilisi. Lunch will be at a beautifully restored restaurant in Old Tbilisi. In the afternoon there is time for relaxation at one of the many thermal spas in the area. Bathing is a significant part of the culture here and also a wonderful way to give yourself a little love. For dinner, we will dine at one of Tbilisi's high end restaurants for a very special tasting menu. (B,L,D)

D A Y T H R E E | SHOPPING & TRADITIONAL DANCE
After a chance to sleep in you can explore Tbilisi's unique markets and antique shops in the morning. Lunch will be at Lolita. Before we head to another fun dinner we will watch the sunset from a cliff top fortress, taking the funicular above the old city. Dinner is at Tsiskley where you will be able to watch traditional singing and dancing from the area.(B,L,D)

D A Y F O U R | TBILISI- SIGNAGHI-TELAVI
After a leisurely morning, we will drive about 1.5 hours to Signagi, a colorful town nestled in the Kakheti region of Georgia. We will visit a fortress and the Bodbe Monastery. Also, we will walk the old city walls, overlooking the rural landscape surrounding the town. We will have an earlier dinner at Pheasant's Tears Winery before making our way to Telavi to our hotel. D A Y F I V E | KVARELI WINE
Today will go deeper into wine country! We will tour and taste at several family owned wineries in the region and learn more about the process they use here. Kvareli Wine Yard focuses on traditional Kakhetian wine making. Lunch will be a feast of Georgian cuisine. Dinner is on your own in the town of Telavi.(B,L)
D A Y S I X | COOKING CLASS & FREE TIME
Enjoy the morning to sleep in after much wine tasting. We will meet up for a Georgian Flavours cooking class in the small village of Lagodekhi, where we will learn about this region's cuisine and enjoy the fruits of our labors for lunch! In the afternoon you will have some free time to explore the town or simply do what you want. Some important things you can check out are the museum of history, the cathedral or the central market. D A Y S E V E N | TRAVEL TO KAZBEGI
We will see quite the change in scenery as we head into the north-eastern mountains today. We’ll have a long travel day but we will make plenty of stops along the way. Lunch will be en route. Dinner is on your own at the hotel. (B,L)
D A Y E I G H T | GET OUTDOORS
The landscape around Kazbegi is simply breathtaking. Surrounded by the Greater Caucasus range there are views in all directions. We’ll visit the country's most iconic places of worship-the Trinity Church and drive the spectacular Georgian Military highway to reach Gveleti Waterfall. Dinner will be at the hotel. (B,D)

D A Y N I N E | TRAVEL TO BORJOMI
We’ll head down from the high Caucasus mountains towards the southern part of Georgia known for its healing powers and mineral water. On the way lunch will be at Chateau Mukhrani also known for yes- more wine! Once we land in Borjomi we’ll wander the historic park and taste what these waters have to offer. (B,L,D)
D A Y T E N | CAVE CITY VARDZIA
After breakfast we will drive to the incredibly unique Vardzia. This is a cave monastery carved right into the mountains during the 12th century by Georgia’s great ruler, Queen Tamar. We’ll explore the cave city and then have lunch at a local farm. Evening is free. (B,L)

D A Y E L E V E N | TRAVEL TO KUTAISI
The city of Kutaisi is the second most important in Georgia after Tbilisi and known as one of the oldest inhabited cities in the world! We’ll wind our way west, stopping at Baia Winery to have lunch. Dinner will be at Sisters restaurant. (B,L,D)
D A Y T W E L V E | EXPLORE KUTAISI
After breakfast we head out to see the famed Bagrati Cathedral and the Green Bazaar. Lunch is on your own today. In the afternoon you can stroll around the botanical gardens or relax in the tea house. Dinner will be together at Palaty.(B,D)

D A Y T H I R T E E N | BACK TO TBILISI
On our way back to the capital city we will stop and see one of the oldest villages of Georgia-Mtskheta. Due to its historical significance Mtskheta was made a Unesco World Heritage Site in 1994. We will have our last dinner together and if you wish a night on the town! (B,D)
